Responsibilities
Designing and developing physical and logical network architectures that support secure communication across multiple domains
Maintaining LAN and WAN networks connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) circuits
Translating customer requirements into system specifications
Conducting system engineering trade studies to evaluate solutions
Writing detailed subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements
Ensuring design traceability
Reviewing diagrams to confirm alignment with system needs
Developing and executing comprehensive network test procedures to verify system performance, capabilities, and security compliance
Preparing technical presentations to communicate complex network concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to design and integrate secure, compliant networks within a MILSTD-based development environment
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Supporting system integration
Ensuring that all network components operate seamlessly within the overall system architecture
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Bachelor's degree with at least four years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with two years of experience, or alternatively, eight years of equivalent experience without a degree
Certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent experience
Intermediate knowledge of network design, including LAN/WAN architecture
Security best practices aligned with NIST frameworks
IP addressing
Routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
VLANs
VPNs
Video/VoIP telephony
Prior experience with systems certification and accreditation processes, especially achieving Authorization to Operate (ATO) on government networks
Excellent communication skills
Experience in developing and executing test plans
Preferred
Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with SATCOM protocols
Experience with HAIPE devices
Experience with RedHat Linux
Experience working with government or military projects
