Electrical Engineer (Switchboards)

They are seeking an Electrical Engineer (Switchboards) to engineer customer orders, including detailed reviews and development of control schematics using CAD software, while supporting various phases of order management from engineering review to production shipment.

Responsibilities

Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming switchboard orders
Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for switchboards, utilizing Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager
Support engineering function by providing directions to team members per Engineering spreadsheets, UL standards and NEC in interpreting complex customer requirements and translating them into manufacturable switchboard designs
Develop control schematic drawings, BOMs and components
Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, and EatonCare through participation in plant visits, training support and customer events
Provide input to Product Line development teams on design and pick table enhancements
Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems
Support Satellite Plants thru design review and product implementation
Maintain and track order schedules and risks
Experience troubleshooting control wiring devices following Industry standards and product specifications
Implement, promote and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a culture of zero accidents including prevention, investigation and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area and engineering processes
Promote company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Engineering from an accredited institution with an expected graduation date by May 2026

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient understanding of electricity and circuit design
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD & Programming of PLC & Control Systems
Experience with Eaton systems: VISTA, Bid Manager, AS-400, ENOVIA & DMM
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of switchboards
