IMA & RF Subsystem Design Engineer

Nesco Resource is partnered with a specialized RF and microwave manufacturing organization supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense programs. Our client is seeking an IMA & RF Subsystem Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of integrated microwave assemblies and RF subsystems from concept through production.

Responsibilities

Design, simulate, and prototype RF/microwave modules and subsystems for aerospace and defense applications
Develop compliance matrices covering electrical, mechanical, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Estimate material, labor, development, test costs, and lead times for new product quotations
Lead RF design projects through established development processes
Optimize designs for performance, SWaP-C, cost, and manufacturability
Support prototype builds and provide technical guidance to technicians and assemblers
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain on new product introduction
Lead and participate in design reviews and project meetings
Support production programs related to obsolescence, reliability, and performance improvements
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff

Required

Strong experience designing IMAs and RF subsystems for aerospace and defense applications
Expertise in RF system architecture, analog/RF/microwave circuit design
Experience with transmit/receive modules, LNAs, SSPAs, filters, and RF signal chains
Experience optimizing noise figure and SWaP-C
Proficiency with RF synthesis and simulation tools
Hands-on bench-level troubleshooting preferred
Strong communication and project leadership skills
Ability to work with ITAR-controlled technical data
BSEE, MSEE, or PhD

Preferred

10+ years RF/microwave experience with 5+ years in IMA or RF subsystem design
