Responsibilities

Responsible for providing manufacturing engineering support to current product programs (OFP Mfg Eng)
You may also be asked to assist with the execution of PDP activities in the Mfg Design Swimlane (PDP Mfg Eng)
In this position, you will: Establish and maintain detailed assembly documentation, define operations layouts, procure tools and fixtures, and develop labor standards for various assembly tasks
Define and investigate manufacturing quality issues, gather and analyze relevant data, and propose and implement solutions to those issues
Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, productivity, and ergonomic improvement ideas
Apply tooling across a broad range of applications to evaluate new product designs, engineering changes, and proposed assembly sequence revisions

Required

Knowledge and proficiency in identifying issues and implementing solutions to improve overall product quality
Ability to work well within a team environment and among different levels of the organization
Ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business
Ability to apply lean manufacturing concepts and tools to eliminate waste
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred) or other related technical discipline

Preferred

Knowledge of shop floor manufacturing engineering
Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification processes
Knowledge and application of quality tools (PFMEA, control plans, etc)
Experience with John Deere-specific manufacturing software (MPPlanner/JDAAT)
Experience with SAP/AutoCAD/Microsoft Office/Co-Pilot/etc
