Event Manager
Basin Harbor is celebrating its 140th year and is seeking a seasonal Event Manager to lead their Event team. The role involves overseeing service in a high-quality restaurant, ensuring excellent service to guests, managing staff training, and assisting in cost controls and revenue enhancement.

Responsibilities
Lead the Event team, overseeing service in a high-quality restaurant
Lead the team in providing excellent service to both external and internal customers
Excel at surpassing guest expectations
Lead training and manage staff to ensure timely, accurate and seamless service
Demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication and time-management skills at all times
Proficient at multi-tasking and delegating as well as being a hands-on worker
Assist in cost controls and all aspects of increasing revenue
Qualification
Required
Restaurant management experience of 3 or more years required
Prior wine sales and knowledge required
Understanding the need for proper etiquette and service standards
Able to take direction and work in a team environment
Attention to detail
Efficient and able to perform multiple tasks systematically in a fast-paced environment
Ability to use and teach others to use a POS cash register system and any other restaurant related equipment
Employees must maintain a clean, well kept, professional appearance
Shift work may be long and varied, including evening and weekends
Required full-shift walking and standing
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally throughout shift
Preferred
Formal sommelier training preferred
