InternGolden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. (GSEC) is a not-for-profit generation and transmission cooperative organized in 1984 to provide low-cost, reliable electric power and energy to its 16 Member cooperatives. The IT Cybersecurity Intern will assist in monitoring network and user activity, evaluate system logs, and research security events while completing a major project that complements their education in cybersecurity.

Assist monitoring and triaging network and user activity
Evaluate system logs
Research, report and document security events & incidents
Help clients identify and report events/incidents to the Security Operations Center
Analyze user submissions
Research and present findings on current cyber news and processes as requested by manager
Identify and complete one major project that compliments education or cyber knowledge during internship
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a college or university student, preferred junior or senior, pursuing a degree in information technology, computer science, computer information systems or related field of study
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.2
