Responsibilities
Serve in the role of technical subject matter expert and solution architect, driving synthetic monitoring solutions
Define requirements for both new and existing solutions, yielding expansive visibility of monitored applications and offering dynamic triage capabilities. Validate future feature designs
Support SRE automation development efforts by playing various roles including: Playbook Support, Solutions Engineer, and Monitoring Analyst
Contribute actively to enhance and maintain standards and promote best practices
Drive synthetics and instrumentation monitoring delivery and competencies within the technical teams
Conduct research on monitoring products, services, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the Digital Monitoring Industry. Learn about integration of technologies within DevOps industry
Enhance and maintain Digital Monitoring Transformation Roadmap
Oversee new and existing capabilities. Provide support for some instances of automation development
Interact with partner teams to ensure services development is completed according to business requirements and enterprise standards
Conduct Data Analysis / Performance Metrics Review to drive Problem Management (Identifying Patterns, Trends and Gaps in Current State. Drive Resolution and CSI)
Plan, engineer and implement robust solutions, exploiting emerging technologies to provide compelling solutions
Present technical solutions to internal and external audiences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of New York, NY or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations

Experience integrating software and services using common API techniques (SOAP, REST, XML)
Experience in real-time monitoring solutions and Synthetic Transaction tools, i.e. Apica, Dynatrace, etc
Experience with log analytic tools, i.e. Splunk
Experience with PagerDuty a PLUS
Drive the development of IT monitoring strategies a PLUS
Familiarity with working in a Cloud based environment (i.e. Azure)
Preferred
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Self-motivated and independently minded
Ability to work in an Agile Development Environment and using Jira
Functional knowledge of Service Operations and Production Mgmt and Monitoring practices
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Self-Motivated, detail oriented, and organized
Methodical approach to problem solving
Open-telemetry design is a PLUS
Working with Common Stability Metrics (i.e. MTTR, MTTI, SRE KPIs)
SiteMinder, Kerberos and entitlement / access management knowledge is preferred
General multi-tier application architecture knowledge is a plus
Experience working within a DevOps Model and SRE Model
