Responsibilities
Design, configure, and manage cloud-based network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, security groups, and VPNs
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues in the cloud environment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
Collaborate with various teams to understand and meet their network requirements and optimize performance
Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support, including pager duty for network-related emergencies
Stay up to date with the latest cloud networking technologies and best practices to continually enhance the cloud network environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Proven experience as a Network Engineer, cloud services experience a plus
Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices
Strong knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.)
Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, load-balancers and other networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco, F5, and Palo Alto Networks
Familiarity with network management, ipam and monitoring tools in both on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
