Responsibilities
Play a tech lead role in framing cross-line-of-business optimizations and architecting novel ML solutions
Prototype these solutions using Uber's internal ML model development tools
Influence and align engineering & product on the AIML roadmap for homescreen ranking
Help identify system-wide improvements to Uber Rider ranking and recommendations, including adoption of the latest technologies in ranking and recsys
Qualification
Required
Strong background in designing ML systems for ranking and recommendation
Ability to set up multi-objective optimizations that trade off the needs of different lines of businesses
Comfortable with high degrees of complexity and ambiguity
Deep experience in large-scale consumer tech
Preferred
Knowledge of latest innovations in ranking and recsys including transformer architecture
Understanding of consumer platform businesses
