Responsibilities
Lead and develop electrical designs for combined cycle and simple cycle power plants, including new generation and modernization projects
Produce and review deliverables such as one-lines, protection schemes, equipment specifications, grounding/lighting design, cable sizing, load studies, and construction packages
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
Coordinate across disciplines (I&C, mechanical, civil/structural) to ensure integrated, high‑quality engineering solutions
Support clients throughout the project lifecycle—including feasibility studies, FEED, detailed design, procurement, and commissioning
Interface directly with utility and plant stakeholders on technical issues, permitting requirements, and project milestones
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. a plus)
8+ years of electrical engineering experience in power plant environments, with clear expertise in combined cycle facilities
Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage distribution
Strong understanding of protective relaying & coordination
Strong understanding of generator interconnection requirements
Strong understanding of NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and utility standards
Experience working in a consulting or EPC engineering environment
Ability to manage tasks independently and communicate effectively with clients
Professional Engineering (PE) license required
