Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance for a translational medicine laboratory studying how acute and chronic diseases cause skeletal muscle and adipose tissue wasting and dysfunction
Duties include performing laboratory assays focused on anatomic, functional, and biochemical characterization of skeletal muscle and adipose tissue and compiling and analyzing data from these assays
Maintain experimental data using standard and specialized software
Develop reports and assist with manuscript preparation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Cellular/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field and prior research laboratory experience and/or laboratory coursework required
Proficiency with word processing, graphical, statistical analysis and spreadsheet software/applications required
Effective organizational and communication skills required

Preferred

Experience with tissue histology, tissue dissection, standard protein and transcriptomic analysis, and experience with rodent models desirable
Familiarity with human clinical sample handling desirable
