Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for complex aerospace systems
Your role includes coding, integrating, and testing software components to ensure full system functionality
You will develop and execute verification plans, test procedures, and environments, documenting results to meet project specifications
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members is a key aspect of the role, along with supporting process improvements, tools, and metrics
As a subject matter expert, you will address system-specific issues, ensure compliance with industry standards, and track software conformance
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, participating in reviews, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives are integral to your responsibilities
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 5 years of experience with C/C++ programming
A strong background in designing and developing software for real-time or non-real-time systems
A comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience in safety-critical software development
A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields
Excellent problem-solving skills
Technical leadership
The ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred
7 or more years of relevant experience
Active security clearance
Familiarity with aerospace standards
Experience with real-time operating systems
Experience with fault tolerance
Experience with signal processing
Experience with agile methodologies
