Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Preparing and presenting technical results for internal and external program meetings
Documenting design verification tests across lab, ground, and flight test environments
Developing technical metrics to monitor project progress
Evaluating requirements, flow-down, and traceability to ensure system integrity and compliance
Analyzing data from verification efforts and generating detailed reports
Developing, tracking, and maintaining schedules for engineering activities
Managing risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues
Collaboration with project engineering, program management, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration and delivery of systems
Supporting training initiatives for new team members
Overseeing engineering teams during off-site installations
Leading large-scale projects with minimal oversight
Communicating effectively within and outside the organization
Contributing to operational improvements
Creating system drawings, schematics, and signal interfaces
Hands-on experience in testing, integrating, and verifying hardware and software systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with at least nine (9) years of experience leading projects or task teams in the integration of systems and subsystems within airborne or laboratory environments
Alternatively, a graduate degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience or a minimum of 13 years of extensive experience in similar roles without a degree is acceptable
An active Secret Department of Defense (DoD) clearance is mandatory
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access
Current Security+ certification
U.S. citizenship
Ability to travel up to 20%
Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call shifts
Preferred
Active Top Secret with SCI clearance
Experience with FAA-certified aircraft (such as 747, 757, or 737)
Familiarity with systems such as Mission Communications Systems, offboard radios, or network communications
Knowledge of the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
DODAF standards
Experience with government and military program bidding processes
