Responsibilities

Perform as Systems Administrator for a medium to large sized classified government contract
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
Support multiple environments and ensure necessary administration tasks are completed
Administer backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and manage virus protection on a routine basis
Create and maintain user and computer accounts
Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed

Required

Has served at least 180 days on active duty
Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
Will receive an honorable discharge
Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship
Applicants must have an active DoD Top Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP) in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment
Demonstrated ability to meet tasking deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
An understanding of basic server infrastructure
Familiarity with Windows and Linux, and experience with running scripts on Windows and Linux

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
Experience using Ansible scripting languages in a development environment
Experience configuring RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows within a secure environment
Light scripting experience in Python, Bash, or other scripting language to automate and improve efficiency of tasking
