Controller
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting operations for a multi-entity client in the Oklahoma City, OK area. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP while overseeing a high-performing accounting team and working closely with executive leadership.
Human Resources
Responsibilities
Own the general ledger and multi-entity financial reporting
Ensure GAAP-compliant accounting policies and documentation
Review and approve entries, accruals, classifications, and reconciliations
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
Deliver timely reconciliations, variance analysis, and intercompany eliminations
Maintain audit readiness and resolve accounting issues proactively
Manage and develop an accounting team; set expectations for accuracy and timeliness
Serve as the technical accounting resource; drive continuous improvement
Oversee intercompany activity, job/project/cost-center accounting, and coordination with AP, AR, payroll, and operations
Manage tax credit programs
Partner with advisors on valuation, compliance, and proper GAAP treatment
Strengthen internal controls and scale processes as complexity grows
Lead system optimization and workflow improvements
Coordinate tax filings, audits, and external advisor relationships
Ensure accurate schedules, support, and responses
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Accounting
10+ years progressive accounting experience
Experience owning close and financial reporting
Strong GAAP and multi‑entity accounting expertise
Team leadership experience
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERPs
Preferred
CPA preferred
