Responsibilities
Administer and maintain endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools including tuning detection rules, reducing false positives, and improving threat visibility
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date asset inventories within security platforms
Apply platform and agent updates to ensure EDR tools remain current
Review and modify security policies to align with operational and security requirements
Perform routine health checks to verify proper EDR functionality
Investigate and remediate unexpected EDR agent behavior
Verify integrations between security platforms and troubleshoot issues as needed
Administer and maintain the vulnerability management system including agent updates and platform maintenance
Tune scan policies to improve vulnerability detection accuracy and reduce false positives
Configure and schedule vulnerability scans across environments
Perform health checks to ensure vulnerability scanning platforms are functioning properly
Investigate and remediate unexpected vulnerability agent behavior
Ensure vulnerability management integrations function correctly and resolve any failures
Respond to customer inquiries and incidents submitted through ticketing systems and security operations channels
Maintain and update remote monitoring and management platforms and associated agents
Document customer interactions, investigations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately
Escalate complex or unresolved issues according to established procedures
Monitor ticket queues to ensure service‑level agreements are met and follow up as required
Qualification
Required
Strong experience administering and configuring enterprise security products
Hands‑on experience managing endpoint detection and response platforms
Experience administering vulnerability management tools and scan configurations
Ability to tune security tools to improve accuracy and reduce operational noise
Experience maintaining asset inventories within security systems
Strong troubleshooting and investigative skills related to agent and platform behavior
Experience working within security operations or monitored service environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures clearly
Strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple priorities remotely
Preferred
Security+ certification
CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator certification
Tenable certification
Additional cybersecurity‑related certifications
