New GradCity of Grand Island is seeking an Engineering Aide to assist in a variety of technical engineering duties. The role involves computer aided drafting, surveying, inspections, and data collection to support engineering projects.

Responsibilities
Display honest, trustworthy, and ethical behavior when dealing with internal and external customers
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Regular attendance that is punctual and dependable is required
May utilize CAD software to prepare a variety of drawings and plans
May participate in a variety of topographic surveys and construction staking for City projects
May participate in a variety of construction observations and tests to verify projects are in compliance with City standards and specifications
May assist in the collection and input of data into the computer
May assist with filing plans, specifications and other records
Utilize a variety of hand tools; assist in routine maintenance of such tools and equipment
Utilize proper safety precautions in all work performed
May assist in other sections of the Division as necessary
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required

Ability to use and operate a variety of hand tools and other equipment required for the work in a safe and efficient manner
Employees 18 years or older must possess a valid drivers license and maintain insurability as determined by the Citys insurance carrier to drive
