EXPENSE AUDITOR
The NYC Department of Social Services is focused on fighting poverty and addressing homelessness in New York City. They are seeking an Expense Auditor to audit and approve payments for staff carfare requests, review documentation for accuracy, and manage communication regarding check status.

Responsibilities
Audit and approve payments for staff members carfare requests
Approve Positive Pay Decisions in Bank of America (Daily)
Retrieve check information in Bank of America to determine check status and to stop payments of checks
Review documentation submitted by staff to support claims and determine if information submitted is accurate
Monitor unit mailbox and respond to request for information from staff regarding check status and technical help
Review documentation for replacement checks
Mail check to employees that were returned to HRA
Qualification
Required
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
One year of satisfactory clerical experience
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
Preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word
Highly organized, attentive to detail and capable of managing multiple tasks
