Data Engineer - Analytics and GTM
Career Renew is recruiting for a Data Engineer - Analytics and GTM for one of its clients, a company focused on transparent trading solutions. The role involves building analytics infrastructure to optimize user understanding and enhance decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities
Architect and maintain robust ingestion and transformation pipelines for on-chain events, product telemetry, and third-party marketing/CRM data using AWS-native services and scalable storage/query layers
Build and own the company's core data models—user journeys, cohort analysis, attribution, funnel metrics, and LTV—enabling self-serve reporting for Growth, Marketing, and BD teams
Design and maintain dashboards (Metabase, Looker, or similar) that surface key GTM metrics: acquisition channels, activation rates, trading behaviour, retention curves, and campaign performance
Develop frameworks to analyse on-chain wallet behaviour—deposit patterns, trading frequency, churn signals—and enrich with off-chain context (referrals, campaigns, geography)
Build data foundations for A/B testing and growth experiments, ensuring clean event tracking, statistical rigour, and fast iteration cycles
Package pipelines and models into reliable jobs/services with CI/CD, automated tests, data quality checks, and documentation that enables stakeholders to trust and use the data
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in Python and relevant libraries for production pipelines (pandas/polars, dbt), plus strong SQL and experience designing analytics tables/views for event and behavioural data
Hands-on with core AWS tooling (e.g., S3, Athena/Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions)
Proven ability to build dashboards and self-serve reporting layers in tools like Metabase, Looker, Preset, or Tableau
Experience turning ad-hoc analysis into robust, tested pipelines with versioning, CI/CD, and reproducible environments
Preferred
Experience with GTM analytics: attribution modelling, funnel analysis, cohort/retention analysis, or marketing mix measurement
Familiarity with crypto/DeFi data and the quirks of on-chain event streams (wallet behaviour, protocol interactions, token flows)
Experience with blockchain indexing tools (Subgraphs/The Graph, Dune, RPC log parsing) or wallet/user identity resolution
Hands-on with orchestration and data quality tooling (Airflow/Prefect/Dagster, dbt, Great Expectations) and building reliable data contracts
Exposure to product analytics tooling (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment) and event taxonomy design
