Required
High school graduate or the equivalent
American Heart Association BLS
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Able to read, write and spell in English with legible handwriting
Must have knowledge of general Medical/Surgical unit activities and organization
Must understand principles of universal precautions
Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions
Ability to read work product of others, computer/monitor screens, computer printouts
Demonstrated skills in dealing with the public and telephone courtesy
Able to perform mathematical calculations
High level of concentration and attention to detail
Ability to work with a team and prioritize work
Preferred
Minimum of 1 year clerical experience preferred
