Navigation - Engineer

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. They are seeking Navigation/Identification Friend or Foe engineers to support Developmental Test & Evaluation of Navigation and guidance, focusing on advanced weapon systems for warfighters.

Responsibilities

Support Developmental Test & Evaluation of Navigation and guidance, and/or support Guidance, Navigation and Control development on advanced weapon systems to meet critical needs for warfighters
Responsible for the developmental test and evaluation and analysis of guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms, and operational flight software
Validate and verify performance and supporting ground and flight tests with pre-flight predictions and post-flight analyses
Review and provide input to Technical Review Board (TRB), Safety Review Board (SRB), and Report Integrated Product Teams (RIPT) meetings
Provide coordination (ground test to flight test) for all projects and assist in the coordination of input from allied engineering disciplines (avionics, armament, electronic warfare, flying qualities, performance, structures, subsystems, and signatures)

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience
Engineering experience in system applications to include at least one of the following: Digital and/or modern control systems, Signal processing, Verification and validation, System-level performance assessments, GPS/INS navigation systems, sensors, and algorithms, Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) systems, sensors, and algorithms for navigation in GPS-degraded environments
Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented design
Experience with GNC and/or Signal Processing algorithms within a simulation or physical environment
Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, a Secret Clearance with the eventual upgrade to Top Secret clearance and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and four years of related engineering experience or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 2 years of related engineering experience or have an accredited doctoral degree in Engineering
The candidate must have mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enables the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs
The position requires sufficient knowledge and skill to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area along with excellent communication and analytical skills
The candidate must have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and possess planning/organizing skills
The position may require the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
The candidate must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to top secret with special access
Must be a U.S. citizen
