Responsibilities
Set up project schedules. Monitor progress of the renovations. Schedule manpower accordingly. Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools and materials
Meet with tenants and vendors to inspect and complete property requests, provide access to properties, perform inspections and track work order tickets
Monitor the progress of the efforts of the in-house staff and outside contractors to ensure remediation of all identified Life Safety Code deficiencies. Maintain the required documentation to ensure continued compliance with the proper sealing of all fire and smoke rated barriers throughout the facility
Identify and regularly review the education and training of the staff. Review overall performance and competency. Ensure employee compliance with all Hospital and Departmental policies. Direct the function of staff in completion of assignments and tasks
Respond to roof leaks and performs the required root cause investigation to identify the necessary repairs. Coordinate the work of the roofing contractor to ensure timely remediation of the problem. Ensure interior maintenance to residential units (apartments & houses) is done in a timely and competent manner
Coordinate and monitor the work with a strong emphasis on efficiency, quality, and safety
Performs other duties as assigned
Ensure continuous and uninterrupted provision of services through careful coordination of manpower and resources
Identify, develop, implement and monitor standard operating procedures and work assignments as well as ongoing corrective and preventive maintenance
Continuously monitor conditions and identify opportunities to make improvements in the overall function of the staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree is required
10 years relevant, full-time experience in facilities management, real estate, planning and project management in the field of healthcare, life sciences, or a related area
Strong planning and management experience, oral and written presentation skills, and highly-developed communication skills are essential to success in this role
Ability to synthesize information from many sources to create, articulate, and implement management strategies that will improve service delivery efficiencies and alignment of goals and expectations between the RED+F and the portfolio tenants
Capacity and initiative to function independently, assuming ownership and responsibility for daily management and the ability to follow-through on assignments without regular supervision or prompting
Familiarity with major planning and real estate development processes (applicability in the healthcare arena is preferred but not essential)
Leadership to drive projects and work within diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives and deliver results; Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, manage timelines, and control project budgets
Proficiency with the technology and media necessary to communicate and reach our tenants in a manner that is open, accessible, and clear; and Discipline, maturity, and composure necessary to perform professionally within a demanding environment and navigate a challenging and ever-changing landscape
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
