Responsibilities
On site resource to solve manufacturing process problems
Provide technical assistance on troubleshooting equipment mechanically
Identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, waste reduction, safety/ergonomics, etc
Champion the development of tools and fixtures to support lean manufacturing
Research new manufacturing methods to improve process efficiency
Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency
Investigation and resolution of process and product deviations
Interface with manufacturing personnel to develop processes and procedures
Prepare technical documents to support improvements, processes, and changes
Support process transformations to accommodate new products and improvements to existing products
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
2 - 10 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, required
Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Able to operate effectively and efficiently individually and as part of a team
Ability to adapt and adjust priorities as necessary to support operations
2+ years' experience leading projects and/or working on small teams
Ability to share knowledge and teach proper methods and procedures
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
Ability to travel locally as needed
Must be able to legally work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time
Ability to safely move about a large production facility as needed, on a regular basis
Preferred
B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred. Equivalent experience of 5+ years in process improvement may be considered
