They are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support manufacturing by performing product sampling, testing, measuring, and analyzing data in collaboration with the laboratory team.

Responsibilities
Prepare mixtures of solvents & silica gel slurries
Prepare and perform Purification columns for Chromatography
Clean glassware’s and bottles by following procedures
Produce accurate and reliable data and interpret results
Follow methodologies in carrying routine tasks
Comply with the laboratory’s technical, administrative and health/safety policies and procedures
Adheres to all departmental protocols, rules, contamination controls, and safety procedures and understands the requirements of ISO 9001:2008
Document all activities, record results, and insert/retrieve data
Participate in the laboratory’s quality assurance plan, adhering to quality control and preventive maintenance policies and appropriately documenting these activities
Troubleshoot and identify problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or reporting of test results by initiating corrective action and using the Laboratory Information Systems to make the required management notification
Perform proficiency testing in the same manner as routine samples
Evaluate data & prepare technical reports
Perform general lab maintenance as necessary
Maintain work area and equipment
Provide assistance to Senior Production Chemists/Production Chemists
Demonstrates behavior consistent with ChemGenes’ Core Values
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field, 2+ years related industry experience
Ability to use all automated laboratory equipment
Computer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information Systems
Accuracy and close attention to details
Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with good mathematical skills
Ability to follow company SOPs and perform complex laboratory protocols successfully
Able to easily understand complex instructions
Able and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory research and results
Maintain cleanness in the lab area
Understands and applies basic laboratory safety instructions, reagent handling precautions, and disposal of chemical waste according to local environmental regulations
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere, have experience in aseptic techniques, and have a positive attitude toward work environment
