Responsibilities
Perform secure design reviews and support implementation of on‑premises and cloud security controls across multiple technology initiatives
Partner with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to define security requirements and secure deployment patterns
Describe solution intent, operating environments, system components, interfaces, and non‑functional requirements
Review, assess, and approve solutions based on risk posture and alignment with security policies, standards, and industry best practices
Evaluate and apply security controls across identity and access management, data protection, application security, network security, and security analytics
Ensure solutions are fit for purpose by evaluating architectural decisions and their impact on business and technology outcomes
Contribute to security best practices, standard templates, and security architecture roadmaps
Interpret business, technology, and threat drivers to design practical and effective security capabilities
Clarify architectural direction for development teams and propose solution options to address design challenges
Conduct design reviews to ensure non‑functional requirements such as security, scalability, performance, maintainability, and reliability are met
Collaborate with security architects and practitioners to share insights, lessons learned, and emerging best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university
Minimum 10 years of experience designing, building, and managing security infrastructure or security solutions
Strong knowledge across multiple security domains including identity and access management, data protection, application security, and network security
Experience evaluating risks, defining remediation options, and presenting findings to technical leadership and executive stakeholders
Proven ability to adapt and remain effective in dynamic and evolving environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills across business and technology teams
Preferred
Experience with AI‑related security considerations and controls
Experience designing and implementing security solutions across on‑premises, public cloud, and private cloud environments
Strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks, secure design principles, and industry best practices
Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST 800‑53, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27000 series, or COBIT
CISSP, CSSLP, or other information security certifications preferred
