Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of Microsoft Exchange, including mailbox provisioning, mail flow management, and troubleshooting complex messaging issues
Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Active Directory teams to ensure secure and resilient email services
Implement retention policies, automate tasks with PowerShell, support Outlook Web Access (OWA), and ensure compliance with DoD and IC security controls
Manage integration with Microsoft 365 (M365), develop and apply Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for Exchange and email security, and support cloud migration initiatives
Perform patching, cross-domain email support, and develop SOPs and technical documentation to support long-term sustainment and mission success
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Security+ CE certification and TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required
10+ years of IT experience, with 6+ years focused on Microsoft Exchange operations
Expertise in Microsoft Exchange Server 2016/2019 and hybrid Exchange Online environments
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Outlook Web Access (OWA), Group Policy Objects (GPO), and email cloud migration
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting
Deep understanding of DoD STIGs, RMF, and secure messaging protocols
Experience with email gateways, DNS, mobile messaging (ActiveSync), and enterprise directory integration
Familiarity with ITIL service operations and incident/change management practices
