Responsibilities

Utilize data to identify and prioritize market opportunities across all L&C brands, with emphasis on SLED verticals, in support of group market share goals and long-term sustainability
Identify short- and long-term strategies required for success in public sector markets, including compliance with procurement regulations, bid processes, and contract requirements
Serve as the subject matter expert and partner within the L&C Leadership team for industry intelligence, public sector opportunities, ROI, and government procurement trends
Directly manage business relationships with state agencies, municipalities, school districts, and higher education institutions to maximize and grow sales opportunities
Oversee contract management processes, including RFP responses, negotiation, compliance, renewal, and performance tracking, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations
Report on the performance of all markets across the U.S. and Canada, with specific insights into SLED verticals; potential for future international reporting responsibility
Mitigate issues that block new market opportunities from being successful, including contract execution challenges and regulatory barriers
Drive new market opportunities into mainstream adoption throughout the organization, ensuring cross-functional alignment
Represent the company and its products in industry associations, public sector forums, and corporate accounts to gain market approval and credibility
Deliver clear marketing, product, and business communication plans tailored to public sector stakeholders
Lead a support team when required to oversee product portfolio and contract execution

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public administration, or related field
10+ years of experience in sales/marketing strategy
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic business plans that include new market opportunities supporting the L&C long-range strategy
Experience managing government contracts, including RFPs, bids, GSA schedules, cooperative purchasing agreements, and lifecycle management
Strong understanding of public procurement processes, compliance requirements, and contract negotiation strategies
Innovative mindset to drive new ideas and adapt to evolving public sector needs
Ability to collaborate effectively across the organization and with external stakeholders
Strong working knowledge of L&C product lines to drive all aspects needed for marketing, sales, direction, and focus
Multi-dimensional leader: business acumen, approachable and available, strong communication skills at the key stakeholder level, as well as at the technical and tactical level
Travel up to 40% as market opportunities require, including visits to state agencies, municipalities, and educational institutions

Preferred

Experience in the OPE industry, with demonstrated success in public sector or SLED markets preferred
