Responsibilities
Assist in the collection, processing, and preparation of laboratory specimens
Ensure accurate and timely specimen handling and documentation
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as per standard procedures
Provide support to laboratory technicians and pathologists
Assist in the implementation of quality control measures
Adhere to strict infection control protocols
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
No experience required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
Willingness to undergo training and professional development
Basic computer literacy and proficiency in using laboratory software
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
A positive and compassionate attitude towards patients and colleagues
Preferred
Previous lab processing experience preferred
Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory
