As a Garage Door Installer, you will be responsible for repairing and installing garage doors and parts, educating customers about the services provided, and managing inventory in your vehicle.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and Repair – You’ll be responsible for repairing garage doors, door operators, replacing worn or broken door parts, installing new equipment including doors, door operators and replacing springs
Educating the Customer – After the work is done, you’ll review and explain it to customers so that they fully understand the work performed. You’ll also collect payment from the customer
Manage Inventory in Your Vehicle – You’ll need the right equipment, tools, and products to properly install and service the equipment
Maximizing Your Time – You will stay busy by fully addressing the customer’s needs and offering them the best solutions, and managing your time throughout the day to help as many customers as you can
Quality Work – You’ll make sure the job gets done right the first time
Wowing the Customer – Customers will be happy and leave glowing reviews
Commitment to Safety – You drive and work safely

Required

Must have mechanical aptitude and technical skills
Must be able to lift 75 pounds independently
Must be able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to work in the heat and cold, both outside and inside garages that may not be temperature-controlled
Have interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and solve issues
Communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Be reliable and able to serve our customers following our process
Must be able to use a computer and/or tablet
Must be able to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment

Preferred

Experience in the garage door industry or carpentry is preferred but not required
