Responsibilities
Creating, maintaining, and enhancing software systems that adhere to industry safety, security, and quality standards
Reviewing and checking code to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
Developing comprehensive testing procedures and verifying software functionality through rigorous testing
Monitoring feature- and story-level test progress, resolving issues, and documenting best practices for future projects
Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including engineering, supply chain, and cybersecurity—to facilitate seamless integration of testing tools and software components
Analyzing existing processes and implementing improvements
Developing models and simulations, and contributing to the development of software architectures using tools like Cameo
Working under general guidance, demonstrating initiative, and supporting continuous process improvements to enhance software quality and efficiency
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
Strong background in requirements analysis, software design, development, and testing
Experience working within the software development lifecycle, preferably in an aerospace or defense context
U.S. Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Excellent communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Preferred
Experience with embedded real-time software
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools like Cameo
Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps practices
Knowledge of open architecture standards, such as Open Mission Systems (OMS)
Experience with application DevOps tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Maven
