InternMARSHALLTOWN, one of the largest construction tool manufacturers in the world, is seeking a Tool and Die Intern to join our operation at our Marshalltown, IA facility. The Tool and Die Intern will learn about tool and die, manual machinist responsibilities, and CNC machining through an extended training program.

Responsibilities
Follow Tool Room best practices of cleaning, organization, and discipline at all times
Effective communication with co-workers
Perform any tasks assigned
Assist with making, altering, and repairing gauges, jigs, fixtures, die, tools and other devices
Learn to set up and operate all tool room equipment and improvise where equipment is limited
Learn to build and repair molds
Use of variety of precision measuring instruments, hand tools, machine shop equipment and mills, lathes, grinders, etc
Follow safety rules and keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition
Complete proper documentation as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic understanding/ability to read Blueprints/drawings
Basic knowledge of measurement equipment like calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks
Basic knowledge and understanding of Lathes and Mills
Basic knowledge and understanding of cutting tools used in a Tool Room
Satisfactory Performance on the Mechanical Aptitude Skills test
