The Undergrad Intern will support the Construction, Testing and Commissioning organization, contributing to sitewide operations and project support while gaining valuable industry experience.

Responsibilities
Contribute to the successful execution of sitewide operations, infrastructure management, and project support
Support the Construction Management organization in managing construction field work and providing constructability expertise to Project Management during the planning and design phases of construction projects
Manage the process to satisfy the requirements, responsibilities and administrative controls to establish project testing and turnover requirements
Support the process to turnover a project's structures, systems and components to the final owner following completion of construction and operational testing
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering or a closely related field
Must have one college term completed at an accredited college or university, must be enrolled as a full-time student, and live within a commutable distance from the Richland work location
Must have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or above
Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during breaks
Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge
Preferred
Completion of courses in topics such as: project/construction management, scheduling, estimating, construction methods, safety, contracts, or commissioning
Experience using project management or scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore, BIM tools)
Previous internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience in construction management, project controls, or field engineering
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
High level of integrity and professionalism
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated leadership or initiative in academic or extracurricular activities
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks/projects
Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, professional environment
