California Department of Industrial Relations is seeking a Senior Legal Typist for the Division of Workers' Compensation. The role involves providing legal administrative and clerical support, processing legal documents, and assisting litigants with inquiries.

Responsibilities

Review and process legal documents such as case openings, pleadings, and other correspondence

Assist parties and litigants with inquiries and updates in person, by telephone, or email

Transcribe dictation from a dictating machine for reports, decisions, or orders

Qualification

Required

Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point

Typing Certificate of 45 words per minute

Ability to read and write English at a level required for successful job performance

Manage time and resources effectively

Be responsive to management needs
