System Analyst

The Information Services Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating efforts related to information systems, managing application support, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for end users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary representative during all phases of system implementation, including build, configuration, testing, go-live, and optimization activities
Serve as the escalation point for support and optimization of team activities, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively
Demonstrate leadership by guiding the team to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational standards and customer expectations
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices across all application support activities
Develop and apply expert-level understanding of applications, particularly Epic modules, to meet customer goals and set operational standards
Influence project and operational outcomes through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement
Coach team members in problem-solving, experimentation, and innovative approaches beyond standard practices
Apply comprehensive knowledge of clinical and business workflows to identify dependencies, document processes, and facilitate requirements gathering
Prepare and deliver clear, organized project status reports to stakeholders, escalating issues as necessary
Lead process analysis, including process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and requirements elicitation for complex projects
Build and maintain strong relationships with key client administrators, leveraging these relationships to identify new project opportunities
Identify potential conflicts or roadblocks and work with leadership to resolve them proactively
Organize workload distribution to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, mentoring junior team members and facilitating cross-training initiatives
Maintain comprehensive documentation and stay informed about the latest features and updates within relevant systems, especially Epic
Collaborate with application development and compliance teams to design and optimize system processes
Act as a liaison for end-users and business contacts to gather requirements and communicate project timelines effectively
Lead workgroups related to the focus area, managing communication across application teams and facilitating cross-application sessions
Develop and implement communication strategies for internal and external audiences, including executive leadership
Manage large or sensitive projects throughout their lifecycle, providing oversight and guidance to team members
Coordinate with application teams to design, develop, and maintain system functionalities within organizational policies
Participate in professional growth activities, including seminars, workshops, and industry affiliations, to stay current with technological trends
Lead high-impact vendor change initiatives and coordinate across multiple applications as needed
Travel may be required to fulfill job duties, and additional hours may be necessary during critical periods or emergencies

Required

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare, business, or information systems
A proven track record of managing complex projects and leading teams
Certifications related to Epic modules or other relevant systems are highly desirable
Demonstrate proficiency or certification upon employment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Adaptable to change
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Committed to continuous professional development

Preferred

A Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or information systems is preferred; an Associate's degree may suffice with relevant experience
Prior supervisory or project management experience is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
