Application Analyst

Responsibilities
The Information Services Lead will serve as the primary point of contact during all phases of system implementation, including build, configuration, testing, and go-live support
They will oversee incident, problem, request, and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations
The role involves acting as an escalation point for support issues, demonstrating leadership in driving high-quality outcomes for end users and stakeholders
The Lead will analyze and document current workflows through process mapping, requirements elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering, especially for complex projects
Building strong relationships with key client administrators and stakeholders is vital to gaining insights and identifying new business opportunities
Coordination of team activities, workload distribution, and mentoring of junior analysts are core responsibilities
The Lead will facilitate cross-training initiatives, promote innovative problem-solving approaches, and inspire creative solutions beyond standard practices
They will prepare organized and comprehensive project status reports, communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, and escalate issues appropriately
The role also involves collaborating with application development and compliance teams to design and optimize system processes, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory standards
The Lead will stay current with Epic updates, Nova release notes, and other relevant documentation, applying this knowledge to improve system configurations and workflows
They will independently analyze, design, and implement complex system configurations, providing expert guidance to team members
Managing large or sensitive projects throughout their lifecycle, the Lead will coordinate tasks across multiple applications, ensuring deliverables meet organizational expectations
They will also develop and maintain detailed documentation, pursue ongoing professional development, and lead high-impact vendor changes when necessary
Travel may be required to support project needs, and additional hours may be needed during critical periods to ensure project success
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or information systems
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting healthcare, business, or information systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
Multitasking skills
Capacity to work effectively as part of a team
Healthcare systems expertise, particularly with Epic modules
Preferred
Supervisory experience
Project management experience of at least 2 years or an equivalent background
Certification or proficiency in assigned Epic modules
Additional certifications related to healthcare IT or project management
