7Seventy Recruiting is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and own end-to-end data solutions that make critical data accessible, actionable, and reliable across the organization. The role involves building ingestion pipelines, APIs, dashboards, and internal tools while improving the infrastructure behind products and services.
Information Services

Responsibilities

Build and maintain robust data infrastructure to ingest, transform, and model content, metadata, and rights-related data
Design, build, and support data products and internal tools for analytics, operations, and self-service reporting (e.g., data observability dashboards, ingestion monitors, reporting and audit trails, and quality interfaces)
Design and optimize cloud architectures using AWS services (including DynamoDB, MySQL, Redshift, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch) to ensure high availability and strong performance
Contribute to DevOps practices such as monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve reliability and resilience
Support compliance workflows through reproducible, transparent data practices
Drive performance, cost efficiency, and observability across the stack
Own work end-to-end, from early ideas through production delivery, in a small and collaborative environment
Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams with high autonomy and accountability

Required

3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, or full-stack development with a strong data focus
Deep expertise with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, EC2, and related tooling)
Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Spark, plus experience with dbt or similar modeling frameworks
Deep knowledge of databases, including relational systems and non-relational systems such as DynamoDB
Experience building ingestion pipelines for XML, JSON, CSV, and other document formats
Familiarity with DevOps practices such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and monitoring/logging stacks
Experience working with complex metadata formats, standards, and rights management workflows (or similar compliance-driven data domains)
A user-focused mindset and a strong desire to build tools that make complex data trustworthy and easy to use
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
Comfort mentoring teammates and leading initiatives while staying hands-on
