Data Center Technician
TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services. They are seeking a Data Center Technician to upgrade and install devices, perform diagnostics, and ensure network connectivity within customer data centers.

Responsibilities
The team will be upgrading and installing RNG devices in customer's data center. They will be checking the network ports to make sure everything is connected properly and performing breakfix
Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to specific instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails
Work with network engineers on validating layer 1 connectivity to provision various switches/routers
Performs post-execution quality checks and verifies that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs)
Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifies the cause(s) of issues, and replaces faulty components on servers and network devices
Decommissions hardware for tech refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance
Follows procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads
Responsible for daily safety checks and equipment inspections to uphold client standards
Continuous communication with client on project/daily status updates
Qualification
Required
Experience with data center operations
Knowledge of GPU technology
Experience with breakfix procedures
Ability to perform rack and stack tasks
Proficiency in cabling techniques
Strong hardware troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with network operations
