The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and scale LimeIQ’s core data and application platform, focusing on delivering reliable systems for processing and analyzing insurance data.

Responsibilities
Design and develop data-intensive web applications using React and modern visualization libraries
Build and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Python and Django
Architect, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines for large-scale bordereaux and claims data using PySpark and Azure Fabric/Data Lake
Implement rigorous data validation, reconciliation, and exception-handling frameworks for Lloyd’s and delegated authority datasets
Develop automated quality controls to detect incomplete, inconsistent, or non-compliant submissions
Apply AI-assisted development tools for code generation, testing, documentation, and debugging while maintaining engineering standards
Collaborate with BI and data engineering teams to ensure analytical outputs are accurate and auditable
Participate in system architecture, technical design reviews, and long-term platform planning
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation in Azure environments
Write maintainable, testable, and well-documented code with a focus on long-term reliability
Support and modernize existing systems while reducing technical debt
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
3+ years building production systems in Python/Django
2+ years developing React-based, data-heavy applications
Proven experience with PySpark and distributed data processing
Strong understanding of structured insurance and financial datasets
Demonstrated experience delivering reliable, auditable data platforms
Preferred
Experience with Lloyd's of London, delegated authority, or specialty insurance bordereaux is strongly preferred
