Responsibilities
Collect and analyze data. Make a determination of failure mode, update databases and present test methodology as required
Implementing lab processes for equipment: scheduling, tracking, maintenance, calibration, and repair
Support common lab practices. Identify & recommend continuous improvement opportunities
Actively participate in Lab team goals and HOS activities
Assure compliance with established ETS processes
Qualification
Required
Vacuum Technology Degree or willingness to complete core Vacuum Courses at Normandale Community College or minimum 5 years of experience in ultra-high vacuum operations
Familiar with vacuum equipment such as pumps, valves, and leak detectors
Ability to identify and diagnose root cause and resolution
Proficient in Word & Excel, including VBA
Proactive approach to troubleshooting unusual technical problems
Preferred
Extensive experience with vacuum test equipment
Strong hand tool, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient at reading and understanding electronic schematics and engineering specifications
Able to work independently, demonstrate high integrity and accountability
Clearly accepts responsibility for tasks and decisions, ensures clear objectives
Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
