Sr Development Associate
Ed Trust is an organization dedicated to closing opportunity gaps affecting students of color and those from low-income backgrounds. They are seeking a Senior Associate, Development to manage funding priorities, donor relationships, and grant processes to support their mission. This role is critical in ensuring the financial resources needed to advocate for educational equity are secured and effectively managed.

Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of funding priorities and execute the grant application and reporting processes including, but not limited to, proposal and report writing, budget development, quality assurance, and timely submission for assigned area
Produce materials such as concept papers, proposals, reports, or case for support in conjunction with program staff and subject matter experts
Coordinate with Director and Chief Development Officer on funder relationship management activities including phone calls, correspondence, mailings, and meetings with donors and their representatives, engaging key Ed Trust team members as appropriate
Monitor and grow a grant prospect list to support assigned funding priorities
Contribute to and leverage donor database (Salesforce) and grants management software (Sage Intacct) to effectively track and improve funder engagement
Support Chief Development Officer in promoting a culture of philanthropy through high-quality and engaging fundraising training for staff
Keep abreast of Ed Trust’s policy positions and research, as well as best practices in fundraising and donor database management
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree
Some (e.g., at least 4 years) experience in nonprofit fundraising, including significant experience with grant writing and reporting
Prior work experience in an education-related organization; knowledge of education equity and/or policy a plus
Significant experience with Salesforce or other similar CRM
