Payroll Analyst

NSI Industries is focused on the electrical markets and is seeking a Payroll Analyst to oversee all aspects of outsourced payroll processing, tax compliance, and workers compensation program management. The role requires high accuracy and confidentiality while actively supporting HRBPs, Managers, and Employees in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees and compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, garnishments, etc
Responds to tax notices and ensures expeditious resolution by ADP
Conduct regular audits of payroll & tax data to ensure accuracy & compliance
Ensure accurate quarter and yearend closings
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve pay-related issues timely
Support and respond to all payroll related audits, payroll reporting requests, etc
Works with ADP to create new pay and deduction codes, ensuring codes are mapped correctly and tested
Supports any process and/or system improvements
Works with managers to resolve timecard errors
Responds to wage audits, employment verification, and similar
Responsible for annual affirmative action reports and EEO filings
Manages all overpayments
Responds to workers compensation annual audits or other inquiries related to workers compensation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or relevant experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in payroll & tax compliance
Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now a must have
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Strong data analytical capabilities with HR metrics and problem-solving skills
Ability to present data that tells a story
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer Service orientation
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
