Responsibilities

Lead activities to develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for complex software systems
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Battlespace Picture roadmap and vision, ensuring alignment with mission objectives
Develop and implement containerized software architectures across various hardware platforms, utilizing open standards like OMS and OCS
Define boundaries for OMS subsystems, including requirements, service contracts, and isolators to ensure modular and scalable system design
Oversee the development, integration, and testing of software components, ensuring compliance with requirements and industry standards
Create and execute verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, documenting results to validate software performance
Provide technical leadership across projects, managing software supplier activities, and ensuring quality and schedule adherence
Plan, execute, and document research and development initiatives, tracking performance metrics and process conformance
Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including hardware and integration units, to deliver integrated mission system solutions

Required

A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in embedded software architecture, development, and design
At least 2 years of experience leading software projects or technical teams
A strong background in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
Candidates must hold an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain one

Preferred

A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields
Experience with distributed and containerized software architectures
Experience with Linux and Windows platforms
Experience with open architecture standards such as OMS
