Responsibilities

Assume the Systems Engineer Associate Manager position for System Design and Program Performance group in the Maritime and Missile Defense Radar (MMDR) Department
Provide radar system concepts of operation, requirements analysis and trade studies, budgets & analysis, algorithm development, and model based systems engineering development for the Scalable, Software Defined, Supportable, S-Band Radar (S4R) Product Line
Provide program performance responsibilities for AN/SPY-1 scope of work in support of multiple domestic and international Aegis and Integrated Combat System programs
Manage day-to-day management and development of the staff, functional initiatives, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution
Engage throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools are applied on assigned programs
Responsible for personnel management of direct reports, including performance assessment, career development guidance, program assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing, hiring, and onboarding
Partner across Integrated Engineering departments, program, and chief engineer offices to ensure work products meet or exceed customer technical, cost, and schedule objectives

Required

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
Experience in two or more of the following areas: system analysis, trade studies, requirements development, design, modeling and simulation, performance assessment, requirements verification, Control Account Management
Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including task planning, budget management, or employee development and mentoring
Proven ability to resolve and drive complex technical issues and challenges to closure
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emotional intelligence, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
Strong customer focus with track record of achieving outstanding customer satisfaction
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Preferred

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent
Prior engineering management experience
Prior experience in radar systems engineering or systems engineering techniques, such as Agile and Model Based System Design; experience in several key domains including architecture, analysis, design, trade studies, integration, and test is a plus
Risk management experience, including identification, mitigation, abatement planning, and tracking
Self-starter personality with an ability to multi-task effectively
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
Proposal development experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) development experience
Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
Experience working and leading teams in an Agile team environment
Experience in leadership or management of remote teams
