ELECTRIC GENERATION SYSTEM SPECIALIST I
The California Energy Commission is seeking an Electric Generation System Specialist I in the Energy Assessments Division’s Efficiency Analysis Unit. This role involves performing complex analytical work related to fuel substitution and electric generation planning to support California’s Energy Demand Forecast and Integrated Energy Policy Report.

Responsibilities
Independently performs at the full journeyperson level varied, complex, technical, and analytical work on the topics of fuel substitution and the integration of residential and non-residential load modifier forecasts and supporting data and their associated electric generation, distribution, transmission planning impacts that are assessed and used in preparation of California’s Energy Demand Forecast, the Energy Commission’s Integrated Energy Policy Report, and other associated work products
Work on advanced modeling and geographic grid assessments associated with fuel substitution of fossil gas to electricity or other fuels with electricity as a primary input in the agriculture and industrial sectors, and other sectors where appropriate
