Business Development Professional – Valuation

Objective Investment Banking & Valuation is seeking a Business Development Professional to enhance their Valuation practice. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, engaging clients, and managing relationships with referral partners to drive revenue growth in valuation services.
Investment Banking

Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and develop new valuation engagements across targeted client segments, with a focus on 409A valuations, BEVs, and other valuation and advisory services
Engage prospective clients to understand valuation needs, educate them on service offerings, and convert opportunities into signed engagements
Build and expand relationships with attorneys, accountants, venture capital and private equity professionals, family offices, and other advisors who regularly require valuation services
Execute targeted outbound initiatives including direct outreach, email campaigns, webinars, conferences, and industry events to generate qualified valuation opportunities
Own the valuation pipeline within CRM, including lead entry, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting. Maintain strong CRM discipline and data integrity
Collaborate with Valuation Practice leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, pricing approaches, service positioning, and priority market segments
Monitor valuation-related regulatory guidance, accounting standards, market activity, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify opportunities and position the firm effectively
Work closely with valuation professionals, marketing, and firm leadership to ensure a seamless client experience from initial contact through engagement execution
Support the development and execution of scalable digital lead generation initiatives for valuation services in partnership with marketing
Represent Objective’s Valuation Practice with credibility, professionalism, and clear communication in all client, referral partner, and industry interactions

Required

5–10+ years of experience in business development, valuation, accounting, investment banking, or professional services
Proven ability to generate and close professional services engagements
Strong executive presence and consultative selling skills
Highly self-motivated, accountable, and results-driven
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred
Established relationships with professional referral partners strongly preferred
Experience using CRM systems; DealCloud or Hubspot experience would be great but not required
