The Associate in Platform Operations will support platform growth by performing complex funds reconciliations, managing margins and OTC collateral, and facilitating OTC derivatives settlements.

Responsibilities

Monitor cash and margin balances in accordance with margin rules established with each client
Diligently perform all OTC collateral management activities
Review position reconciliation and liaise with counterparties, asset managers and administrators to resolve any discrepancy
With the assistance of our senior team members, investigate reconciliation breaks and seek resolution
Initiate or review and approve cash movement and OTC settlements
Support senior members of the team in funds launches & liquidations

Required

University degree in finance or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Operations, Middle-Office or related fields
Basic to intermediate understanding of the financial markets, instruments, and key processes
Basic to intermediate knowledge of financial products, such as equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, listed derivatives, and OTC derivatives
Basic to intermediate knowledge and experience with reconciliation of positions and understanding of break resolution process
Experience in margin and collateral management process & calculations is an asset
Analytical and detail-oriented, resourceful with ability to manage work in a timely manner
Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Team-oriented professionals with problem-solving and critical thinking skills in development
