Responsibilities

Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Support the use of instructional resources and technology to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
Provide individualized support based on student needs and manage time effectively to maximize learning opportunities
Monitor, collect, and document student performance in compliance with district assessment guidelines
Support positive student behavior across various environments to maintain a safe and productive learning setting
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community partners
Participate in professional learning communities to enhance knowledge of curriculum and assessment practices
Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Passing score on the Paraprofessional Test or completion of 60 college credit hours
Post-secondary degrees (Associate's, Bachelor's, or higher) accepted with photo or official transcript documentation
Prior experience working with children preferred, ideally in an educational setting
Knowledge of special education practices and a willingness to learn and apply new strategies
Proficiency in multimedia and computer technology to support instruction
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships with students, staff, and families

Preferred

Associate's degree preferred
Prior experience working with children preferred, ideally in an educational setting
