The role involves collecting, preparing, and logging blast hole samples, as well as assisting with geological fieldwork and data collection.

Responsibilities
Collect and label blast hole cuttings and samples during production drilling
Perform sample preparation tasks including drying, splitting, and packaging
Accurately record and track sample data for use in grade control and production planning
Ensure proper sampling techniques and quality control measures are followed
Safely operate sampling tools and equipment in an active mine environment
Assist geologists with field mapping, rock identification, and structural measurements
Support core logging, chip sampling, and database entry
Conduct field and lab work including data entry, sample processing, and inventory management
Maintain sampling and field equipment in good working condition
Follow all site safety protocols and environmental procedures
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in geology, mining, or a related field is a plus
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Willingness to learn technical tasks and follow established procedures
Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
