Responsibilities
Engage in a comprehensive one-year training program that combines formal education with practical experience to become proficient as a Sewage Planning Specialist 1
Overseeing various tasks within a designated area of the Commonwealth
Ensuring that facilities adhere to the established Rules and Regulations, permits, and environmental laws
Enforce the provisions of the PA Sewage Facilities Act and related regulations, as well as Department Policy, within the Southcentral Regional area
Safeguarding public health and preventing environmental pollution
Qualification
Required
Four years of technical experience in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field; or A bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, geology, biology, ecology, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
