Strategic Planner for Facilities - Administrative Officer 2
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Strategic Planner for Facilities within the Department of General Services. This role involves collaborating with the Bureau Director to strategically plan for the Bureau's success, managing administrative tasks, and assisting in decision-making processes.

Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with the Bureau Director to strategically plan for the Bureau’s success and future growth
Manage administrative tasks, facilitate communication, and assist the Bureau Director in decision-making processes
Assist with the drafting, updating and administratively managing contracts for the Bureau of Facility Management
Assist with the purchasing of unique services and equipment that is used to maintain the DGS owned and managed buildings
Qualification
Required
One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training
You must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with non-technical business owners, identify their needs, and translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language, build trust, and guide stakeholders through multiple process and technology changes
You must have demonstrated ability to assess current-state operations and identify automation opportunities, collaborating closely with IT teams and business units to implement tools such as workflow automation platforms or system integrations
You must have experience leading end-to-end project management efforts to identify and convert manual, fragmented, or high-risk processes into automated, technology enabled workflows, owning discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, and change management
You must be able to perform essential job functions
